i don't understand a thing! is it normal?!!!!!

Hey everyone,hope you all doing great! Guys ,i've just finished java basics and the tree house suggested me to lunch either the rest of the java course or android beginner and i choosed to learn Android...now it has come to the place that teaches about activities and how to deal with them and the teacher uses codes which i don't understand...is it because i just know a basic from java or it's normal and i'll understand them all as the course continues...if you have any similar experiences or any suggestions for me please feel free to share it with me and i'll really appreciate that! ;)

Hey! As far as I know it's normal, because Android surely has its specificities, like linking a Button, working with XML id's, or learning about the Activity Lifecycle. I haven't started long ago, but when I did start Android I knew a bit of C and C++ (which is an object-oriented language as well as Java), and I was a bit overwhelmed as well. So it just takes a bit of time :)
