Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype Looping until the value passes

I don't understand what this means: // I have initialized a java.io.Console for you in a variable called console.

what does the top line of the exercise mean?

Example.java
// I have initialized a java.io.Console for you. It is in a variable named console.

String response;
boolean yesOrNo;

do{
  response = console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops?");
  if( response.equalsIgnoreCase("no")) {
    console.printf("Just keep learning!");
} while( response.equalsIgnoreCase("no"));

To use a Console object, you have to create one first, but in this excercise, it's already provided - you don't have to add a line like Console console = System.console() above. Hovewer, it's not compulsory to name that variable console (not even a convention I suppose), it could have been anything else (cons, c, etc.), hence the comment.
