I don't understand what's wrong with my code? I keep getting an error. SyntaxError: Parse error

what's wrong with this code? I don't understand it...

function max(numberOne, numberTwo){
  if (numberOne > numberTwo ){
      var large = parseInt(numberOne);
      return large;
      }else {
      var large = parseInt(numberTwo);
      return large;
      }

Add an extra curly brace to the end of your code and your done! :) Here's my code (you don't need to parseInt, and also I changed numberOne and numberTwo to a and b):

function max(a, b) {
  if (a > b) {
    return a
  } else if (b > a) {
    return b
  }
}
