I have added the @import to my css file but the webpage is showing default styling.

I have compared my code with that of the teacher and it's the same? Im not sure what i am missing here?

Hello,

My guess is you should include <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="path_to_your_css"> in your head html tag, because in the html you've provided there's no such link. You should probably endup with something like

<html>
   <head>

      <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="path_to_your_css"> /* but change path here */
   </head>
   <body>
      <header>
         <span>Journey through the Sierra Nevada Mountains</span>
