I keep getting error that task 1 is no longer passing

Task 3 does not allow me to check work.

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}.".format(display_menu)
display_menu = sundaes.join(", ")

Hello,

You're pretty close here, but there's two errors in your code. Firstly, you try to use the display_menu variable on Line 3 before that display_menu variable is defined on Line 4. Also, you have your join elements reversed. The following code demonstrates one of the correct ways you can go about this challenge:

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}."
display_menu = ", ".join(sundaes)
menu = menu.format(display_menu)

If you wanted to do it all on one line as the challenge suggests you try, it would be the following:

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}.".format(", ".join(sundaes))

Hope this helps...

I also have this problem!
