HTML How to Make a Website Responsive Web Design and Testing Website Testing

I keep getting this error message when I check my code: Line 7, Column 144: Bad value http://fonts.googleapis.com/cs

Line 7 column 144 has a "bad value for attribute href on element link: illegal character in query: not a URL code point. "

It tells me that characters should be represented in NFC and spaces should be escaped as %20

I don't know how I entered in the code wrong when I just copied and pasted it as instructed in the video. What am I doing wrong??

Hi Elise,

I hit this too. If your font url contains a '|' character, try changing it to '%7C' to make this a valid URL character.

For example:

    <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Changa+One|Open+Sans:400italic,700italic,400,700,800' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

becomes

    <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Changa+One%7COpen+Sans:400italic,700italic,400,700,800' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

You can see the difference between 'Changa+One' and the 'Open+Sans' parts of the URL.

Cheers, Martin

Thank you, Martin! You helped me too.
