231,269 PointsThat's right. The DNS is only used to translate a name into an IP address. If you have the IP address to start with, you won't need the DNS.

231,269 PointsIt depends on their hosting provider and plan, it could be once or twice in a week, or twice a year or less. But it's generally not predictable.
