If window.setTimeout is used in place of the function name exec, how does it know to call the exec function?

How does the following know to call exec() if window.setTimeout is used in place of the function name?

window.setTimeout((something) => {
    console.log(something);
}, 3000, 'Hi, there after 3 sec timeout');

This code isn't calling exec. It is calling the function passed as the first argument of window.setTimeout after 3 seconds. Hope this helped!

I see. I think I was looking at window.setTimeout() as a property, like .style or .toLowerCase, instead of a method calling a function. Thanks.

No problem!
