Illustrator Ellipse, Rectangle Tool Etc. Not Filling w/ Fill Color

Hey, I'm going through Illustrator Foundations and have been getting to know the various tools. I've seem to have changed something so that even though I have a fill and stroke selected and the opacity is 100% and no other layers on my artboard... I can't seem to get a simple shape to fill with color. When I draw an ellipse or rectangle etc., only the outline (think black line) with a small x in the center is visible. The stroke color and it's weight is neither visible. I've also tried resetting the essentials workspace

If I create a new document I can use these tools and the fill/ stroke color and weights work fine.

Any suggestions on what is going on in this instance?

its happend because you entered in the outline mode, just press cmd+Y ( on mac ) or ctrl+Y (on widows) and it will back to the preview mode.

i hope soved your problem.

regards, David
