Illustrator Foundations > Creating an Icon: How to select objects?

I'm watching the Understand Shapes video and trying to follow along to create an icon.

I'm unable to do the following; Alt drag to create a copy Select the small shapes inside the main art board circle

I've tried (V) and selecting the tool and making sure the layer is selected. Each time I can't select any of the smaller circles I create. Only the big one from the Clipping Mask task. Wish I could send you a screenshot but it's not available on the forum.

Hey Joseph Finkenbinder

Make sure you're holding alt down before you select the object. You will notice the cursor change from a single arrow to a double arrow.
