im confused on what hashcodes are

im not exactly sure what the question is asking

You didn't mention which question you are asking about, but if it happens to be "Which of these sets of hashcodes should not be possible?" there's an aspect of hashcodes that was discussed in this part of the Object Methods video that would be helpful in solving it.

That same video explains that a hashcode is a unique integer representing a particular object.
