JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Creating Reusable Code with Functions Create a max() Function

I'm having some trouble with this challenge, and not sure what's wrong with my code.

function max(num1, num2){ if (num1 > num2){ console.log(num1); } else{ console.log(num2); } } max(5,7);

It probably fails because you shouldn't have numbers in parentheses inside functions in Javascript.

try this:

function max(num1, num2) {
  if (num1 > num2) {
    return num1;
  }
  else{
    return num2;
  }
}
