Android Build a Simple Android App Getting Started with Android Creating the Fun Facts Project

I'm just starting and it seems I need to download the class version of Android Studio but I don't know where it is.

How do I download Android Studio

If you want to use the exact same version of Android Studio that was used in the course then there are links to it in the Teacher's Notes of this video.

To save you some trouble I'll link to it in this post as well:

Just select the download link that corresponds to the OS you use and you'll be good to go.

Actually though, it won't install because I'm missing the Java Development Kit and when I go to the link for the appropriate KIT it is no longer supported and it sends me to an Android download page where I think it is going to suggest a different version of Android Studio.

Thanks but that isn't really helpful. The video says that the class will use a specific outdated version of Android Studio. It doesn't say what version or how to get it.

Hey Leland! At this point I'd recommend just using the current version of Android Studio. It might look a little different than what's in the videos, but it will be mostly the same and shouldn't have any of the weirdness that your experiencing now. If it does, just let us know and we can help you figure it out!
