2,406 Points"In the following tasks you'll be required to select various elements on the index.html page..."
The HTML part is:
<nav>
<ul>
<li><a href="index.html" class="selected">Portfolio</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
</ul>
</nav>
Why can't you just add the class ="selected" to the other 2 <li> tags and then do:
var navigationLinks = document.getElementsByClassName('selected');
<li><a href="index.html" class="selected">Portfolio</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html" class="selected">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html" class="selected">Contact</a></li>
I know the getElementsByClassName('selected') should return a nodelist with those specific 3 items that the quiz asked for inside, but it marked it wrong for me!

231,271 PointsThe HTML is only provided for your inspection, the whole purpose of the challenge is to practice using selection methods to accomplish the tasks without making any HTML changes.
