In the random quote generator project, I am stuck at putting the quote in the required format could someone give a hint

I can get the quote and the source on the page but the span elements I am unable to display. I somehow cant target the span elements as it is nested within the p elements.

It would be of great help to share your code, but since you are having trouble with targeting child elements I can point you to this article. http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/prop_element_children.asp Hope this helps.

By "target", do you mean with a CSS selector?

If so, the easiest way might be to give the spans a class and then target the class in your CSS.

Also, you should be aware that only techdegree students can use your link. Ordinary students like myself cannot view it.
