invalid syntax

I'm not sure where I've gone wrong. I keep getting "invalid syntax" on line 2.

creating_functions.py 
def hello_student(name):
    val = ("Hello " name)
    return val

A little work on the syntax and you would have had it!

There are quite a few correct ways to do this. Here is a simple concatenation of string.

def hello_student(name):
    val = "Hello " +  name
    return val
