I know things always go on in the computer but still can anyone point out the needs for a mobile device in android development?

Treehouse TeacherWhile it might not be absolutely necessary to have a an Android tablet or phone, most people will suggest that it's always good to test your app on an actual device. The simulators for both Android and iOS development are great, but it's still recommended to see your app running on a real device. Among other things, the frame rate will always be better on a real device than in the simulator.

Treehouse TeacherNafis Fuad if you're only doing Android development then only consider getting an Android device. My point is that any app you make is always recommended to be run on an actual device. And this is regardless of whether it's Android or iOS. You will not need an iPad or iPhone to test your Android apps.
As for whether or not you should get a tablet or a phone, it's really personal preference in my opinion unless your app has some function to make calls. The important part to take home here is that it is generally highly recommended to run your app on a real device. In this case, an Android tablet or phone.
