Is my learning speed too slow?

I am trying to finish the "build a library'' project at the end of Object Oriented Javascript. I think it will take me at least 4 days to properly understand and rebuild the project. Is this speed too slow?

The beauty of "self-paced learning" is that speed is not a factor! You can proceed at the speed that works best for you and allows you to be thorough and retain your learning.

There are leaderboards to compare learning progress in points and badges, but as far as I know there is no speed or time-based metric. But it wouldn't be very useful anyway, since some people may just study for an hour or two on the weekends, and others might be doing it full-time.
