Is Rails still worth it?

I'm part of a team actually i became team leader and they told me their backend has been coded in Rails however I come from a PhP background and most of the servers i've have rails disabled should i reconsider going to be on rails?

Short answer. Yes. Rails is very robust and only getting better.

However what i'm reading is that rails is in decline vs nodejs and php

You have to know javascript in rails development. AJAX and json calls. buahahaha!
