Is that necessary to use WAMP or MAMP while coding with Laravel?

I usually code PHP MySQL using WAMP or MAMP as localhost. And purchased MAMP Pro to enable XDebug, which I heavily relies on while coding. Recently digging into Laravel, I know that using Homestead and Vagrant, they create a virtual environment for developing Laravel apps. So that means you don't need MAMP as localhost? And if not, how can i install and enable Xdebug in that virtual environment? Many thanks

Xdebug probably has installation guide on the net.. try the google.

Have you tried out Laravel and found it difficult to work through the messages?

You could do something like this and run it through sublime text. I'm sure there are quite a few similar ideas on the old interweb.

This person (and others) are using it in conjunction with phpStorm (a paid IDE)

This tell you how to install it on vagrant with sublime text

Hope these help - these are few of many resources I cam across!
