I saw in the "Introduction to Xamarin": https://teamtreehouse.com/library/setting-up-our-development-environment
that Treehouse is using Visual Studio (Windows version) on a virtual machine on a Mac.
I have a Mac.

Treehouse Guest TeacherIf you are developing iOS and Android you can use VS for Mac. They are very different IDEs but it has all the features for developing mobile apps.
