231,261 PointsThe message might be misleading, but it's caused by a syntax error.
Normally syntax errors get blamed on task 1, I have no idea why it says task 3. But here are the real issues:
- the syntax for a direction is "
to <side-or-corner>
", so it would not start with "bottom" - the first stop does not need a distance or percentage, it is 0 by default

Courses Plus Student 12,884 PointsHeya! You were very close but there is a slight syntax error in the way you set a linear gradient from bottom to top. To go from bottom to top you would want to do something like this:

background-image: linear-gradient(to top, steelblue, darkslateblue 90%);
}
"to top" implies that it is moving from the bottom to the top and there is no need to add "bottom to top". Hope this helps :D
