Java Basics? Not understanding my error! Please Help!

After following the lesson, I felt I completed the exercise correctly. With that said, I am unsure of where I'm going wrong.

Multiple.java
// I've imported java.io.Console for you. It is stored in a variable called console for you.

String name = console.readLine("Enter your name:  ");
String pastTenseVerb = console.readLine("Enter a pastTenseVerb:  ");
console.printf("%s really %s this coding exercise, name, pastTenseVerb  ");

Try this:

console.printf("%s really %s this coding exercise", name, pastTenseVerb );

That should work!

Hi Christopher,

You basically have it, but name and pastTenseVerb should not be within quotation marks -- the variables don't go inside the quotes in a printf statement.

It should look like this:

console.printf("%s really %s this coding exercise", name, pastTenseVerb );

Hope this helps :)

Thank you for your feedback, Michael. I'm now getting a syntax error before and after name, and after pastTenseVerb.
