JavaScript Basics, having trouble with passing arguments

Haven't quite figured out this passing arguments business. This is the code I have, I get an error message that something is wrong after the line with var echo:

function returnValue ( yodel ) { var echo = returnValue; return yodel; }

It looks like you accidentally put the assignment of echo inside your function. You'll want to put the function back the way it was when it passed task 1, then do the assignment of echo after the function.

Combine the assignment with the call you already have at the bottom, and you should be good.
