Javascript Basics: Why is my code throwing a parse error?

  if { 10 > 20; return 10; 
     } else { 20 > 10 ;  return 20; }
}

Hi Greg

Your Javascript function should take the form of the below:

As you're writing a function I wouldn't expect it to want hard coded values as normally you would want to be able to use the function over and over again so use variable names instead.

Also you're using curly braces around the conditionals rather than parenthesis.

function max(num1, num2) {
  if (num1 > num2) {
    return num1;
  } else {
    return num2;
  }
}
