job search(basic steps)?

Looking on indeed and Craigslist, I don't see any jobs that don't require a degree as well as knowing a ridiculous amount of frameworks and technologies.

How and where are treehouse students finding the self-taught-programmer jobs?

If it helps, I live in Chicago which has a pretty decent tech job sector. But I don't see postings where you don't need a degree.

Hi Christopher!

My advice would be to ignore the degree requirement entirely, if you have the skills needed they won't turn you down for missing a degree.

It's also rather normal that companies list everything they want a developer to know. A developer who can check all of those boxes would clearly be a great canditate for the job, right? But the thing is they will rarely find someone who can check all of those boxes, so if you can check more than 50% of them, go ahead and apply!

Good luck!

Exactly. Understand that so much of their "requirements" are a simple wish list.
