Keep getting illegal start of expression

That is my code.

I don't see anywhere wrong with my code but still getting the illegal expression error.

Any thoughts?

CodeChallenge.java
// Use the variable named 'imageView'

imageView.animate();

private void animate() {
  imageView.animate().scaleX(2).scaleY(2).start();
}

Hey Cal,

It's because you are 'creating' a method (animate()) that the challenge did not ask for.

The method animate() has been created behind the scenes for the challenge, and does not require you to code it. You do have the correct answer for all three tasks, it's just encased in the method you wrote.

So, just delete everything (including the first call to the method) except the line:

imageView.animate().scaleX(2).scaleY(2).start();

and everything will pass.

Keep Coding! :) :dizzy:
