kept on failing

i put on console.printf("%s really %s this coding exercise.",name,pastTenseVerb)

it's still a bummer

Two issues with your code. 1) You have a space at the beginning of the sentence in the console.printf statement. 2) When you interpolate 'name' you use an ampersand (&), not a percent sign (%):

console.printf("%s really %s this coding exercise",name ,pastTenseVerb);
