Logo.Gif is not visible in the browser?

Hi, I'm using TextMate for this project. We are supposed to insert "logo.gif" on the page. However, the image does not show up. Is it the file path that is messed up? I have the image in (not typed like this in my code but ...) - Documents/Treehouse/Smells Like Bakin/img/logo.gif. Here the code that I'm using for it:

<img src="img/logo.gif" alt="Smells like Bakin logo">

Pretty simple, don't know why it will not work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time

Well I'm stumped too, if your file paths are correct that really should work.

Typically this occurs if

  1. The filename is incorrect
  2. The relative path is incorrect
  3. The html file you're using to reference the image file is in the wrong directory.

As a final heck, try referencing the location using ../img/logo.gif in your source attribute

Is your index.html page in your "Smells Like Bakin" folder? It would need to be in there for your img/logo.gif path to work.
