mcs * .cs nor mcs -out:TreehouseDefense.exe *.cs works when I try to compile directory in VScode on Windows.

I am on windows 11. I searched google and youtube and couldn't find anything. Is VScode a bad IDE for c#? The only files in my directory are Game.cs, Invader.cs, Map.cs, Path.cs, and Tower.cs.
