Most modern way to design/program a event website?

I'm currently learning JS and want to create a Event Type Website, that has the following Information Architekture.

Events have attributes like location, duration, participants (party or exhibition with artists or Djs involved). Events belong to a parent (name of the club night / Gallery, Galleryprogram) and that item then belongs to a parent with a fixed location (club, hallery, instution with physical location).

I am wondering what's the best way to design such a website in a modern flexible way and what technologies should I focus on?
