mShowFactButton

    mFactTextView = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.FactTextView);
    mshowFactButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.button);

    View.OnClickListener listener = new View.OnClickListener() {
        @Override
        public void onClick(View v) {

        }
    };
    mshowFactButton.OnClickListener(listener);


}

Hey everyone! i can't figure out what's wrong with my code , it keeps showing me an error about mshowFactButton...pls help!

Hey, I'm not quite sure if you want to use the interface, because View.OnClickListener is an interface definition, but try that

private TextView mFactTextView; 
private Button mshowFactButton;

@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);

    mFactTextView = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.FactTextView);
    mshowFactButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.button);

    mshowFactButton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
            @Override
            public void onClick(View view) {
                // your onclick action
            }
        });


}

That way you apply an OnClickListener to your mshowFactButton
