Be sure to save your file. If there is a red circle near the file name that means there are unsaved changes and the preview will stay the same.

I was having the same problem. The changes I was making to my document were saving, but they were not appearing in the preview window. This problem persisted until I deleted the workspace and created a new one. Now the changes are showing up.

Hi George,

I am another student like you, no expert, however, just trying to be of help:

After you saved correctly your changes in the Workspace, try refreshing the tab in your browser where you have your index.html open (normally, F5 key should work for that), do changes now appear? If your answer is negative, what change specifically are you trying to do in the doc (i.e.: what code you added or removed)?

Thanks, Nico

Also be sure to watch if your page is cached, Copy the link to the preview and open it in private browsing.
