MySQL queries.

Hi, I was wondering if it is possibly to SELECT from a single column in a table but then retrieve the row data for that item.

For example, selecting an id column to search for an id rather than selecting all columns and then retrieving data from that row with the chosen id.

Is this possible with a query/ fetch or PDO method?

Thanks.

I think you have to select some columns or all of them and use the WHERE clause to specify the id you want to get.

SELECT column_name,column_name
FROM table_name
WHERE column_name operator value;
