Hey guys I finished how to make a website so I was looking around to see which track to do. I like the php track because is the most complete for me with database stuff and everything. Since I will take database classes in college it will be a great language to learn for me. While searching for motivation to start php stuff I found something that's not mentioned here: HHVM. It's a virtual machine for php and hack language (facebook created)that replaces apache and mod_php all together from what I've read. I'ts compiler turns the code into machine code (64bit). If stuff like this keeps coming out for php why do people bash it? I think its as powerfull as javascript. Any comment welcomed!
P.S. I liked the ruby on rails track also but the "build a to do list.." threw me off so won't look at it yet.

4,017 PointsThanks Christian. Yeah I read that too. I Mentioned it just to point out that php is still getting updates and new stuff for it. Like the Laravel framework is very nice. Would love to see treehouse add a course for it in the php track.

8,712 PointsLast thing I heard about HHVM was that it was a bit buggy still. From what I've read people are still advising people to hold off from it for now until it's more reliable. Definetly sounds promising though.
