first the challenge is asking you to create a function that return the value stored inside:
function returnValue(anything) {
return anything;
}
then outside the function, create a variable named "echo", store inside the function and pass a string as value in the function:
function returnValue(anything) {
return anything;
}
var echo = returnValue("anything");
