not sure what im doing wrong here... it tells me to specify the "li", then i do and it gives me an error

after i put in the li it tells me to use the correct display ... so im not sure whats going on. any tips would be appreciated!

Tim, they want you to select the li that is within the class .main-nav. If you just say li you are selecting all li's. In this case, you will want to use both (.main-nav li) in order to be specific. Does that make sense?
