CSS CSS Basics (2014) Enhancing the Design With CSS Media Queries

Not sure where else to turn at this point, how am I wrong?!?

"Next, create a new media query that targets all devices when the viewport width is 768px or narrower. Inside the media query, target the .title element and set the font-size to 1.4rem. Finally, target the h1 element and set its font-size to 5rem."

Please, anybody, tell me what (if anything) I have missed or not done

style.css

@media (max-width: 1020px) {
  .main-header {
    color: white;
    background-color: tomato;
  }
}

@media (max-width: 768px) {
  .h1{
    font-size: 5rem;
  }
  .title{
    font-size: 1.4rem;
  }
}

Hi Trevor,

two issues: One typo: You selected a class h1, but not the h1 element (please remove the dot) and second, the challenge asks for a font-size of 5rem for the h1.

Please try this inside your code:

  h1{
    font-size: 5rem;
  }

Hope this helps.

"target the .title element and set the font-size to 1.4rem. Finally, target the h1 element and set its font-size to 5rem."

It looks like your h1 font-size is set to 1.4rem. I think your code should look like this:

@media (max-width: 768px) { .title{ font-size: 1.4rem; } .h1{ font-size: 5rem; } }

Right?

Hi Nora, almost, html elements are selected without a dot, otherwise h1 would be turned into a class, which is currently not set in the html markup. But appart from that, your code looks good.
