Not sure why I'm getting a problem that reversed isn't accepting an argument

My function:

def reverse(a):
  return [ab[::-1] for ab in a]

[MOD: added ```python formatting -cf]

You are very close, you're over reaching a bit.

The task is to Create a function named 'reverse' that takes a single iterable item and returns a reversed version of that item.

For task 1, remove the list comprehension:

def reverse(a):
  return a[::-1]
