Ruby Rails Routes and Resources A Route to an Index Action Populating the View

pages.each { |page| puts page.title } NameError: undefined local variable or method `pages' for main:Object

After Page.all, I tried to run pages.each

It sounds like you haven't given the variable pages a value. You need to do something like:

pages = Page.all # <= this is what you're missing

pages.each do |page|
  puts page.title
end
