Nice work and awesome responsive design.

Here is my 10 cents for it. As an advocate for web accessibility,

I looked at your navigation link squinting my eyes, white fonts and blue fonts looks great. The orange font on dark blue background got a little blurry with squinted eyes.

Thinking Inclusively to users with blurred and low vision, to accommodate them I would change the orange fonts slightly brighter and use a clear prominent fonts. Testing it by sitting back and squinting eyes, if that is clear enough to make it out, it will more likely readable for the visual impair.

Again for web accessibility I would also add some title tags to your links provide a short description of what the links are. This may help screen readers and also will allow text description to appear for anyone to see when hover. Especially for any links that leaves your site and takes them to another page.

Looking as a potential client. This are more of questions that I hope can be helpful and less of critiques :D.

Particularly where the 'good design' and '@dadezine' link, when clicked is it best to have the link leave the site completely and introduce something that is maybe distracting or unintended?

On your front page. I am looking at it and I am not really sure what you are trying to emphasize or sell?

What are the elements that you would like your clients to pay attention to or attract them, making them want to stay and browse through your site?

Well, take it as a grain of salt. Speaking of 10, perhaps, realistically as a web surfer it's maybe an approximate 10 second skim through.

You're doing great keep moving forward and all the best to you on your journey :).

Love it.

Looks awesome, resizes to fit screen and shows off what you're all about.

Good job, Kai

Hi Das,

First of all you've done a great job getting your first site up, thats half the battle really.

For the next steps of improving the site, I would focus on the font pairing. Although you've picked nice fonts, I don't think they go together well. Heres some good resources on font pairing and web typography.

Another thing would be the gallery, although linking to the raw images works nicely, it would be good to include an interactive element here to make them easier to browse. Some thing like a Lightbox could be a good solution - http://lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/.

That is just my opinion on the site, but I hope it helps you on making improvements.

Thanks, Alex

Hello Alex,

Thank you for giving your time and help me to learn. I am new in web design and your resources are definitely will be helping me to improve my portfolio. Thanks for nice insight about the font pairing guide and now I also feel that the gallery needs an interactive element for browsing experience. Yes linking Images into another page directly lacks subtlety. therefore I also like your second link on lightbox. I will try it soon. Thanks once again for all your worthy inputs.

Hi Abhijeet,

Your site seems to work well when I resize it to various device sizes, thats great.

I'd recommend that you make your gallery your home page as a potential clients will want to see your work first.

You use a lot of different typefaces, (I think I counted at least 5 different ones), so I'd try and limited those and if you have a chance make sure to watch the new Web Typography Course by Mattox Shuler here on Treehouse

Hello Allan, I put different typefaces to appear it as a little contrast. You know it's design wise very minimal and that's why i want to make it more dynamic through my fonts. I know more you includes fonts in your site it will takes more time to upload.

I was intentionally link my about page as my home page, because i have seen few people just staying on only my portfolio page and they don't go other pages. So actually i force them to read about me first and after that they will definitely visit my gallery to see my work. I don't know my thinking is appropriate or not, but when I was first launched the site in last week my gallery was my homepage.

I will definitely go for that typography course and I am so excited to get to learn loads of stuff about typography, however before that i want to learn the CSS layout course.

Thank you for stopping by and spare your times on my website. Your feed backs will help me to make it better.

Looks fine. You might want to add some interactivity to your website with jQuery or just pure JavaScript. And maybe you want to add a bit more content, so that you show you can your theory so you can convince a costumer that you are the right man. If you add a picture of yourself it would look much more trustworthy. However i like the responsive design you made.

Good Luck :)

Hello Alexender,

I know it lacks interactivity i tried to put few tits n bits of transition on my hover state but those are not enough. The main problem here I have no skill right now on java script or jQuery. So I am quite behind to make my site as an interactive site. Moreover, being as a newbie in webdesign I have very limited knowledge on CSS3 incredible inter active features, few of them I have seen as examples in Codrops site I really want to learn them. I have very keen interest to learn jQuery and javascript but you know a proper website build on plenty of skillsets and I need time to learn them properly. I have seen how nicely Nick used his picture in his site but at present I haven't a good professional look picture. so.. Thank you so much for giving your time and letting me know how could i get more attention.
