9,314 PointsPlease help in assigning the base construtor
Any help will be greatly appreciated on how to assign value to the child constructor using the base constructor.
namespace Treehouse.CodeChallenges
{
class Polygon
{
public readonly int NumSides;
public Polygon(int numSides)
{
numSides=4;
}
}
class Square: Polygon
{
public readonly int SideLength;
public Square (int sideLength) : base(NumSides)
{
}
}
}

You don't need to name the parameter in the call to base
.
The value of NumSides will receive whatever you pass to it in the call to base. So, to set it to 4, you would call: "base(4)
".
Also, inside the constructor remember to initialize SideLength with the value passed to the constructor for Square.
