Portfolio Work

When designing fake websites to put into my portfolio, is it in my best interest to make a full blown website piece as if it were a real website with multiple pages? Or would one concise landing page piece showing off exactly what I can do to make it look and feel good be okay?

I'm not sure if this is helpful or not, but I've also been thinking about this and was considering putting in a little bit of everything. A landing page, a basic site layout with functioning buttons, possibly an app or two. I know in schools they wanted us to choose roughly six best pieces. But somebody else might come in with other thoughts, hopefully.

Yeah, that's how my school set me up, but for some reason I never felt like it might be "enough". Good to hear you've had a similar experience.

A portfolio shows your best work, your skill and knowledge. Develop projects that showcase your skills.

If a company needs a landing page then that will work in your portfolio. If a company is looking for more complex and technical websites a landing page may not be enough.
