Preparing for TechDegree courses

I'm guessing I know the answer to this, but I'd like some other opinions.

Since the tech courses are much higher in cost, would it be wiser to first pile through all of the regular courses that pertain to the TechDegree course I'm wanting to pursue?

I'm enjoying learning java at the pace I am, so far about 5 tasks a day. and about a sub track every week or 2 weeks.

Or is it better to get all of the extra help offered in the TechDegree from the getgo? Thanks:D

Hey Timothy,

This can be a tricky question to answer. I can share that the Techdegree curriculums are designed so that each project has the student apply all of the knowledge they've obtained from the related videos, Code Challenges, and quizzes. By going through the tracks first on Basic or Pro and then trying to move through the Techdegree by diving right into each project, some attrition may have occurred by then, depending on when you first covered the materials.

Ultimately, you'll be the best judge of how this may or may not work for you. I hope this helps some!

So far in my experience with the final tests in the basic courses, they pile up knowledge learned through the track at the end, and each time i finish a track, the tracks before seem like second nature now.

I've learned that learning the concepts is much more important than learning the material. Learning how to look up the material was a giant leap ahead. I stopped wasting time trying to memorize every little detail.

So thats why i was leaning towards going through the courses first, I think after doing a few tracks in the subject and also a couple months of helping others in the community, pre-TechDegree website use might be my decision for the best way to further my knowledge and career. Thanks for letting me spitball :D
