Problem with answer in the compiler

Xcode seems to like my answer, but the compiler doesnt. Any clue why?

let firstPost = Post.init(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag.init(name: "swift"))

func description(_: Post) -> String { return "(firstPost.title) by (firstPost.author). Filed under (firstPost.tag.name)" }

let postDescription = description(firstPost)

structs.swift

}

struct Post {
    let title: String
    let author: String

}

Nevermind I figured it out. I had to move the function into the struct (as below)

struct Tag { let name: String }

struct Post { let title: String let author: String let tag: Tag

func description() -> String {
    return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag.name)"
}

}

let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "swift"))

let postDescription = firstPost.description()
