Puzzled

This is what i really cannot understand.

Why do treehouse first teach you how to make a website in the design Track and then teach you from basics?

My guess is that the "build a website course" is first as it is a nice way to see how everything can work together with simple html and css and gives you a quick feel of the process then the courses that follow breaks it down into the specifics of each area you will need to know and adds more complexity.
