Quick question to a quick story

HI,

I was thinking about:

WHat if somebody made a multi-million dollar company, a website. The website had earned 100millions in revenue in one month and millions of credit cards information.

The website was made by a boy thats new in the programming field. A week later, while hes living his luxury life, his website got hacked with all the credit card and personal information as with all the money.

WHat would happend to the boy? WOuld he get accused? he would get in trouble? or the hackers and him?

hmm, well credit cards have built in protections from the credit card companies so that wouldn't be the end of the world. But, he would probably go out of business. They may face lawsuits depending on what gets out and if they took all his money he may be broke. Either way this all and extremely unlikely case because someone that smart would have probably developed some insane security and used encryption on every piece of financial or personal information.

The hackers may get in trouble if they ever get tracked down by authorities but I wouldn't rely on it.

So your saying that if he develops a multimillion dollar company, and hackers get it, he can still get in trouble? but why? somebody hacked him rgiht? because of the security not good enough ? i mean what about when the hackers hacked the federal fbi or whatever page thath was ?

I mean, if hes the owner , they can still charge him? Isnt thath the same case as if somebody pshyicaly broke to a house and stollen personal data on paper and then get away with car?

Im just thinking because of the security issues i hear of, when im gonna do a business website, even if its not gonna be amulti dollar .. even fewhundres dollars.. its still money of other people.

I would try ofc to make it protected, but still, im new : p im comming to a pharse now thath slowely im understanding PHP well and by the end of his year i should acomplish it .
