Regarding to run the command line application

Hi, I have understood the logic and basic tools of node,js. I have completed all prerequisite for this project. I am using notepad++ editor to write my node.js application on my window os. I use XAMP for server programming. How can i run my node.js command line application for coding and to see its working of fine.Baically i want to say that i am stucked during running the application what i am coding for completion of this project. Could you tell me one by one step to complete this project. Please help.
