Registering domain with good people?

http://breakupwithgodaddy.com/

I want to register my domains with conscientious providers. Is there some common knowledge on domain providers and their values?

Personally i use DNSimple who have previously posted about the subject of SOPA and GoDaddy on their blog. They charge a monthly fee on top of your per-domain costs but are incredibly straight forward and not the messy UI of GoDaddy which is another bonus. As far as their other values you may have to dig around on their blog or ask them directly. Worth checking out. Know that there are some other good options out there so hopefully we'll see some more replies here.

(Obviously this is just my own personal opinion and not that of Treehouse)

I use A Small Orange or ASO as they commonly referred to. They provide extremely affordable plans especially for people who just want to manage a small site (less than 1GB). They also use alternative energy to power their servers like wind.
