Resources to really put design and development to practical use????

I have been doing the tree house web videos and quizzes im also looking for an addition resource (website, books would be great, etc..) something that helps put everything together all in one. I am not having trouble learning the actual languages and doing the quizzes but I need to break that initial barrier and learn step by step how to develop a simple, effective but flexible website with all the languages at once I have trouble learning a HTML 10 hour video than doing a CSS 10 hour video and see the immediate correlation.

one book I have been looking at is..

Learning Web Design Author: Robbins, Jennifer Niederst

Any information really would help regarding this matter.

I would suggest doing the "How to Make a Website" track , if you haven't done it already. It covers HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I took notes as I went along and feel that I could make a very dynamic web site. It would be easy to expand that template to your own needs, and will work on cell phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. Just pause the videos as needed and take good notes.... Hope this helps!!

Thanks Edgar I will have to explore more in depth with those but I am looking for something a little more guidance cause I need something to teach me okay here is a common coding layout for a functioning website here's how and why treehouse shave very goof videos I just have trouble bridging the gap between the languages and which one is best practice for x functions these are best for y functions not actual functions just practical coding between the basic languages
